Terms of Service

Welcome to BuildSignal. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of BuildSignal (the "Service"), operated by the BuildSignal team ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

BuildSignal provides research-backed startup opportunity briefs, niche deep-dives, and related tools (including shortlists, idea comparison, PRD generation, and validation questionnaire generation). The content is provided for informational and educational purposes only and does not constitute financial, legal, investment, or business advice.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a legally binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Payment and Lifetime Access

BuildSignal is currently offered as a one-time payment of USD $99 for lifetime access (the "Lifetime Plan"). Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By purchasing, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the full amount.

"Lifetime" means the operational lifetime of the BuildSignal product. We will make reasonable commercial efforts to maintain the Service indefinitely, but we do not guarantee availability in perpetuity. If we discontinue the Service entirely, your access will end at that time.

Prices are shown in US dollars and are exclusive of any applicable taxes, which you are responsible for.

5. Refunds

Our refund policy is described in detail on our Refund Policy page, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

6. License and Intellectual Property

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal or internal business use.

All content, including briefs, analyses, data, text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by BuildSignal or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Resell, redistribute, or republish any content from the Service
• Share your account credentials or access with others outside your company
• Scrape, mine, or copy content in bulk
• Use the content to train machine learning or AI models
• Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Upload viruses, malware, or any other harmful code
• Impersonate any person or entity

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that any idea, brief, or recommendation will result in business success, profit, or any specific outcome. You are solely responsible for your business decisions and their consequences.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BuildSignal and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BuildSignal and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or otherwise misuse the Service. Upon termination for cause, you will not be entitled to a refund.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
